There has never been a better time to buy waterfront homes. The supply is good, the prices are great, and it is absolutely a buyers’ market.

At Little Harbor Resort in Ruskin, the best kept waterfront secret in the Bay area, there are condo-tel units for under $18,000 that a few years ago, were selling for over $200,000. In addition, we recently sold waterfront townhomes that are practically new for under $130,000 that originally sold for between $500,000 and $600,000. What an area and what incredible deals! When is the market going to really turn? I don’t know, but I’m sure the ones who have purchased the short sale and REO properties there at these incredible prices are going to have some the biggest smiles in Tampa.

Little Harbor has three heated pools, private beach, private fishing pier, two exercise facilities, tennis courts, two marinas, shuffleboard, basketball, beach volleyball, on site restaurant with great water views and outside beachfront dining, a beachfront Tiki bar, and the most incredible sunsets I have ever seen. Located near the mouth of the Little Manatee River, the fishing is great, wildlife is spectacular, and there is a lot for you to do. The resort offers sail and fishing charters and Jet Ski and kayak rentals. You could just walk the beach, fishing piers and marina and watch the dolphins, manatees, and the numerous species of birds.

I’m such a big believer in it that I purchased a unit there, and from firsthand experience, I will tell you it is one for my favorite places to be. Do what I do, lease the unit for part of the year to pay the expenses, and it your for free for the entire rest of the year. We would even provide property management services if you need it.
